To celebrate the 30 years of career and the resumption of the company’s activities after the pandemic, Up Leon allied itself with directors Renato Rocha and Orlando Caldeira, and other creatives of weight of the artistic scene, who under the general direction of Renato Rocha, joined the artistic body of Up Leon to toast the carioca public with circus show from a modern and bold perspective, inspired by current urban and social themes.

Thus, inspired by the song “Divino Maravilhoso”, by Caetano Veloso, Up Leon makes a dive into its repertoire, resignifying in an authorial show of unpublished dramaturgy provoked by Renato in collaboration with the artists of Cia Up Leon, in a research laboratory between the professional artists of the Company and six young talents selected through public audition. And so find out how each artist perceives the images contained in the lyrics of the song. What does it mean to be attentive and strong today, not to have time to fear death? What does it mean to think of joy, poetry, the watchword? To think that everything is dangerous and at the same time divine and wonderful? All these crossings caused by the creative process form the show, with the international quality of Cia. Up Leon and a cast of very high technical level.

Among acrobatics, contortionisms, juggling and balancing, circus performers engage the audience in a contemporary, vibrant, provocative, high-spirited show with a breathtaking energy.

The show is part of the project Circo Up Leon : the magic beyond the circus ring, contemplated in the Promotion of Carioca Culture – FOCA, line 1, of the Municipal Secretariat of Culture of Rio de Janeiro.
